With Michael Bisping injured, Tim Boetsch Now Faces Hector Lombard At UFC 149

The UFC appear to be in the midst of another unlucky spell of injuries and the latest victim his middleweight contender Michael Bisping.

The British fighter has today pulled out of his fight with Tim Boetsch at UFC 149 on July 21st due to an unspecified injury.

Luckily it hasn’t taken the UFC long to figure out who should replace him as Hector Lombard is also in need of a fight after his main event fight with Brian Stann at ‘UFC On FOX 4’ was scrapped due to another injury, so Boetsch Vs Lombard now features on the main card of the UFC 149 event in Calgary.

Lombard may be a little disappointed by all this as after first learning of Stann’s injury he had stated his interest in fighting Bisping instead.

The outspoken Brit had already stated that he felt the former Bellator champion was being unfairly fast-tracked to a potential title shot so there was some bad blood brewing there, but with ‘The Count’ out of action as well, Boetsch, who’s on a three fight winning streak since moving down to 185lbs will still a tough test for him in his promotional debut.
