WSOF 16 Results

Rousimar Palhares successfully defended his welterweight title last night at WOS 16 against Jon Fitch, and yes, you gussed it – he did win by trying to snap off one of his opponents legs!

After a brief exchange of strikes on the feet Palhares opted to take Fitch down and then as they scrambled he grabbed a hold of one of his legs.  Fitch looked to defend from the obvious danger, but Palhares goes for a knee bar and Fitch is immediately in pain, crying out as he frantically taps just 90 second sinto the fight.

In the co-main event Lance Palmer became the WSOF’s new featherweight champion courtesy of a third round rear-naked choke submission against Rick Glenn after having enjoyed the better of the action over the course of the fight as a whole.
