Yoel Romero will return to action against Uriah Hall at a UFC event still to be confirmed that will take place in August.
‘The Soldier Of God’ is in search of a win after having suffered losses in a row during the past two years.
However, those defeats did come at the very top of the foodchain at 185lbs, having lost by split decision in a title fight rematch with Robert Whittaker, followed by a unanimous decision loss to Paulo Costa, and then another unsuccessful title challenge against Israel Adesanya back in March, which he also lost on the scorecards.
Romero still remains one of the most feared fighters in the division though, so it’s a big challenge for Hall, who is currently enjoying a two-fight winning streak that’s seen him KO Bevin Lewis and then win by split decision against Antonio Carlos Junior.
That’s been enough to take Hall to No.10 on the middleweight rankings, and a win over the No.4 ranked Romero would undoubtedly properl him to new heights on the ladder.
At this stage it’s unclear what other fights might take place on the Romero vs. Hall card or where the event will take place, though it’s almost certain to be either the APEX facility in Las Vegas or Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
