Adrian Yanez Beats Randy Costa By TKO At UFC On ESPN 27

Adrian Yanez came under fire early in his fight with Randy Costa tonight at UFC On ESPN 27, but by late in the first round he was starting to work his way into the battle, and he continued that momentum into the second round to seize a TKO stoppage victory.

Round One:

Leg kick for Yanez. Swift head kick from Costa just whips past the target. Yanez with a solid punch. Fast-paced action here and Costa goes for a head kicka attempt again.

More kicks from Costa, going to the leg, body and he even lands one to the head, but Yanez takes it.

Punch and then again a kick upstairs from Costa. Calf kick for Yanez. Nice straight to the head from Costa. Jab from Yanez.

Jab for Costa as he presses forward. Just misses with a kick, but then lands a clean one-two. Now a calf kick from him. Olbique kick from Yanez.

Body kick from Costa. Now a punch upstairs. Straight punches for Costa are bloodying up Yanez’s face. More punches down the pipe connecting cleanly.

Costa can’t miss right now, but Yanez is taking it and now starts to land a couple of his own punches, bringing the first signs of crimson to Costa’s face. He works to the body too.

The action is evening up a bit now as Yanez finds his groove and Costa’s early pace starts to slow a bit. Both men looking a threat now.

Round Two:

Kick to the knee from Yanez. Now a calf kick on the other side. Head attempt from Yanez. Costa is thinking about that same move too.

Another low kick from Yanez. Solid jab for Costa. Straight punch for him and then a couple more punches behind it.

Jabs from Costa land. Now a jab and a head kick that’s blocked. Yanez lands his jab. Several landing for Yanez as he gets some payback. Yanez also landing the oblique kick too.

Yanez gaining momentum here and Costa starts to cover up more defensively than before. Yanez rips two punches to the body and then an uppercut splits through the guard and Costa’s legs give out.

Yanez starts raining down blows as Costa covers up, and that’s it, Yanez battled back from some early adversity to secure a second round TKO stoppage at the 2.11 minute mark.
