Al Iaquinta out, Charles Oliveira In Against Paul Felder At UFC 218

Al Iaquinta has been forced out of his upcoming fight with Paul Felder at UFC 218 in Detroit on December 2nd due to an injury.

However, the UFC have managed to find a worthy replacement for Iaquinta, with Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira now stepping in to take on Felder instead.

Oliveria recently made a successful return to the lightweight division with a first round submission victory over Will Brooks after having lost three of his previous four fights while competing at featherweight.

As for Felder, he’s emerged victorious in four of his last five fights and is coming off back-to-back victories against Alessandro Ricci and Stevie Ray – both of which ended in the first round due to strikes.

With Oliveira Vs Felder in place, UFC 218 proceeds with a card that will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar, while Alistair Overeem meets rising star Francis Ngannou in the co-main event and other notable main card encounters include Sergio Pettis Vs Henry Cejudo, Eddie Alvarez Vs Justin Gaethje and Michelle Waterson Vs Tecia Torres.
