Alex Morono Submits Tim Means In 2nd Round At UFC On ABC 4

Alex Morono was able to deliver a submission finish against Tim Means tonight at UFC On ABC 4.

Round One:

Calf kick for Means and then a teep kick. Morono catches a kick from Means and blasts him with a counter-punch.

Spinning head kick attempt from Means is blocked. Right hand lands for Morono. Head kick attempt from Means just whiffs past the front of Morono’s face.

Means works into the clinch against the cage and lands some knees before they separate.

Punch lands for Morono and Means catches him in return with a counter. Leg kick for Means. Now a calf kick for him.

Morono closes distance and rips a couple of punches to the body and head. Body punch from Means. Push kick from him.

Right hand from Morono and Means counters with a solid body punch. Body kick for Means. Means tries for a push kick, but Morono crashes range to land a punch. Means retaliates with a knee to the body.

One-two for Morono down the pipe. Now a cuffing right hook. Head kick for Means seemed to land, but not much behind it.

Morono steps into range and eats a punch for his troubles. Jumping knee from Means and then another knee to the body as Morono is backed up against the cage followed by a flurry of punches to end the round.

Round Two:

Left hand from Means as Morono tries to find his range. Light left from Means. Morono lands a right hand.

Suddenly Morono unleashes a nice flurry of hooks to the head. Jab for Morono. Head kick attempt from Means.

Means ducks a punch to land a takedown. Morono soon back up though. Nice right hand from Morono. He throws again. A number of right hands from Morono. He attempts a spinning backfist that misses and enables Means to take him down.

As soon as they hit the mat Morono is sitting up fishing for a guillotine choke and sinks it in, forcing a swift tapout from Means at 2.09mins of the 2nd round.
