Alex Perez KO’s Matheus Nicolau In 2nd Round At UFC On ESPN 55

Alex Perez delivered a highlight-reel finish over Matheus Nicolau in the main event of UFC On ESPN 55 this evening, KO’ing him in the 2nd round with a right hook.

Round One:

The main event is underway in Las Vegas.

Body kick for Perez. Jab for him. Inside leg kick for Perez and Nicolau felt out with his jab.

Calf kick for Perez. Perez presses forward with a flurry of punches to the body and head then backs off.

Body punch for Perez. Nicolau remaining patient and not yet dialing in on his range.

Perez goes to the body again with a flurry and then upstairs. Hard left hook counter from Nicolau now.

Another flurry from Perez, but most of that didn’t find the mark as Nicolau backed up.

Solid leg kick from Nicolau. Now Perez lands his own. Perez wades in and lands an uppercut.

Double-jab for Nicolau. Low kicks from Perez. Nicolau digs to the body as Perez comes forward.

Kick to the thigh from Nicolau. Perez still targeting the body. Calf kick for him. Both miss on hook attempts.

Front kick to the body from Nicolau. A hook from Perez sends Nicolau stumbling backwards for a moment.

Perez continues applying pressure here and unloads with another flurry, and a clean right hook to the chin slumps Nicolau to the canvas for a KO finish at 2.16mins of the second round.
