Ali Abdelaziz Offers Conor McGregor A Fight With Kamaru Usman

Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz is sworn enemies with Conor McGregor, but that hasn’t stopped him from offering the Irish superstar a title fight with ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ on social media.

“It looks like #1 contender wants to fight Nate Diaz now,” Abdelaziz wrote on Twitter. “Good for him.

“@TheNotoriousMMA hey you want a title shot ? Come to daddy @USMAN84kg will give you one and he promise first 2 rounds without takedowns only slaps.”

By No.1 contender, Abdelaziz means Jorge Masvidal, who had been earmarked as the likely title challenger to Usman next, but in recent days appeared to show interest in a rematch with Nate Diaz instead.

“I beg to differ,” Masvidal wrote after spotting that Diaz was claiming to be ‘the baddest motherf***er’, despite having lost in a fight with him for the BMF belt in November of last year.

“Lets run it back #theresurrection #andstill,” Masvidal continued.

That’s clearly angered Abdelaziz enough to turn to his bitter rival McGregor, who he has had an ongoing public war-of-words with since the lead-up to a fight with another one of his most high-profile clients, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Given that Abdelaziz has been so adamant that McGregor shouldn’t be awarded a rematch with Nurmagomedov it’s somewhat surprising that he’d now offer him Usman, but at this stage it looks more like a negotiating tactic to get Masvidal back on track.
