Anderson Silva Confirms Fight Against Uriah Hall Will Be His Last

Anderson Silva will fight Uriah Hall in the main event of UFC Fight Night 181 on October 31st and the legendary fighter has confirmed that afterwards he will hang up his gloves for good.

“This is the last fight,” Silva told MMA Junkie. “For sure, this is the last fight. Probably. I love the sport. I’ve prepared my mind for this. I’ve prepared for fight my entire life, but yes, this is my last fight in UFC.”

The former long-time middleweight champion is now 45-years-old and has only picked up one win in his last eight fights – a far cry from the peak of his career when he delivered an unforgettable 17-fight winning streak to seal his place as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all-time.

“I think (I’ll miss) the training (the most),” Silva said. “Preparing my mind, preparing my body. This I think is most important and I feel sad because I don’t have this anymore. This is the last one.”

Silva will have one last chance to get back to winning ways in a week’s time, but it won’t be an easy task as he’ll be going up against another talented striker in Hall, who is coming off back-to-back wins.
