A leaked Instagram message appears to suggest that a boxing match between Anderson Silva and Logan Paul is in the works on September 19th in Dubai.

Bellator fighter and BJJ ace Dillon Danis was the source of the leak, posting up a screenshot of an Instagram message he’d received, which was asking him if he wanted to take part in a grappling bout on the same card as the Silva vs. Paul fight.

“There will be a huge event in Dubai September 19th. Main event is Anderson Silva vs. Logan Paul boxing match,” the alleged message from Viktor Doria to Danis reads. “Would you like to fight a grappling match adcc rules and referees?”

A legendary former UFC fighter, the 46-year-old Silva was released by the UFC late last year and has since turned his attention to the world of boxing.

It’s a pursuit that got off to a fruitful start as Silva impressed during a one-sided victory on the scorecards against former boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last month, and afterwards ‘The Spider’ appeared willing to entertain suggestions of a fight with the older Paul brother.

“I have a great relationship with both brothers, and yeah, I think this is possible, too,” Silva stated.

“That’s entertaining. It’s a fight, but it’s entertaining. Logan and his brother are amazing guys.

“The people like to talk a lot about the guys, but they’re very good people. I respect both, and I respect the sport. I think everything’s possible.

“I think it’s the next fight may be with Logan Paul, maybe.”
