Andrei Arlovski Storms Out Of Russian TV Interview After Accusing Them Of Favoritism

Andrei Arlovski has walked off set during a live interview on Russian TV after accusing the show of favoritism.

Arlovski, who hails from Belarus, had made an appearance on the show to promote his upcoming fight with Russian fighter Shamil Abdurakhimov, but became upset after having to sit through highlight footage showing him being brutally knocked out by one of his biggest rivals, Alistair Overeem.

“We are live right?” Arlovski said as the camera hastily returned to the studio in the middle of the clip. “Ok, let’s just stop this interview. You are rooting only for the Russian fighters. Thank you, good bye.”

The 39-year-old, who’s coming off a decision loss to Tai Tuivasa, then removed his mic and walked off-stage.

Arlovski’s fight with Abdurakhimov forms part of the main card for Saturday night’s show, which will mark the UFC’s first ever visit to Russia.
