Anthony Pettis vs. Alex Morono Set For December 19th

Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis will have one more fight before the end of the year against Alex Moreno at UFC Vegas 17 on December 19th.

The former lightweight champion has already had two fights in the past 12 months, having lost to Carlos Diego Ferreira by submission at UFC 246 in January, only to then bounce back with a unanimous decision victory against Donald Cerrone in May.

In total though the 33-year-old ‘Showtime’ has only delivered a 5-8 record in the UFC since he lost the 155lb title back in 2015, while fighting everywhere from down at featherweight up to welterweight.

It’s at 170lbs that he earned the win over Cerrone and so he’s sticking there for his next fight against Morono, who has also picked up a win and a loss in the year to date, having been KO’d by Khaos Williams in February and then secured a decision victory against Rhys McKee last month.

Pettis vs. Morono joins a solid end-of-year card that has deeper strength in depth than recent offerings and will be headlined by Stephen Thompson vs. Geoff Neal and also includes the likes of Greg Hardy vs. Marcin Tybura, Jose Aldo vs. Marlon Vera, Marlon Moraes vs. Rob Font and Misha Cirkunov vs. Ryan Spann.
