Arnold Allen vs. Sodiq Yusuff Set For UFC Fight Night 189

A fight between two of the featherweight division’s brightest rising talents, Arnold Allen and Sodiq Yusuff, has been announced for UFC Fight Night 189 on April 10th.

Allen heads into the fight with a perfect 7-0 record in the UFC so far as he approaches his sixth year in the promotion.

Along the way Allen has defeated a number of notable names, including Gilbert Melendez, Makwan Amirkhani and most recently Nik Lentz.

However, by the time fight night comes it’ll have been well over a year since Allen last fought, though he does still hold down the No.9 spot in the 145lb rankings.

Just one place below him stands Yusuff, who is also undefeated in the UFC during his four-fight stint, which began back in the summer of 2018, after making his mark in the Contender Series.

Yusuff’s biggest fight so far had been against Andre Fili back in January of 2020, which he won by unanimous decision, and so, like Allen, he will also be returning from a lengthy absence when they finally get into the Octagon in April.

Allen vs. Yusuff joins a UFC Fight Night 189 card that is expected to be headlined by a middleweight fight between Darren Till and Marvin Vettori.
