Bellator 252 took place last night and we’ve got all the results below.
Two-division champ Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire made short work of Pedro Carvalho in the main event of the evening, KO’ing him mid-way through the first round.
It was a big right hand that initially hurt Carvalho and then just seconds later Freire connected with a left hook and then a right hand behind it that flattened his opponent for the knockout finish,
As a result, Freire not only successfully defended his featherweight title, but also advanced to the semi-finals of Bellator’s current 145lb grand-prix.
In the co-main event Yaroslav Amosov advanced his impressive record to 25-0, but only just after a close fight with Logan Storley led to a split decision victory (29-28 x2, 28-29).
Elsewhere, Emmanuel Sanchez moved into the 145lb GP semi-finals with a unanimous decision victory over Daniel Wiechel, while Aaron Pico picked up a second round KO stoppage win over John DeJesus.
