Bellator 264 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.
In the main event of the evening, Gegard Mousasi successfully defended his middleweight title with a third round TKO stoppage against John Salter.
Salter had looked to outwrestle Mousasi in the opening round, but without too much success, and then appeared to be tiring in the second round as Mousasi started to land telling blows on the feet. Salter continued to try to utilize his wrestling with more desperation now, and even pulled guard after failing to keep him down, which led to him eating ground and pound strikes.
Despite that, Salter again pulled guard in the third round and Mousasi punished him for it with more strikes to deliver the TKO stoppage and retain his title.
The 36-year-old Mousasi is now on a three-fight winning streak and has won 11 of his last 12 fights, spanning between his Bellator run and the tail-end of his stint in the UFC.
