Bellator 265 Results

Bellator 265 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event clash of heavyweight veterans, Cheick Kongo earned a submission victory over Sergei Kharitonov.

The 46-year-old Kongo found himself being put on the back foot early in the fight by the 41-year-old Kharitonov, who was looking to swarm him with strikes, and indeed appeared to have him in trouble late in the round after a head kick landed.

However, though Kongo initially came off second-best in the striking action early in the following round, he turned the tide later by managing to get Kharitonov to the mat and got to mount, where he started landing hammerfists, then in the dying seconds switched to a rear-naked choke attempt, which forced his opponent to tap with just a second of the round remaining.
