In the main event Fabian Edwards earned a middleweight title shot after earning a unanimous decision victory over Gegard Mousasi.
The fight was relatively tentative in the opening couple of rounds, but as the fight continued it was Edwards, the brother of UFC 170lb champ Leon Edwards, who started to gain the upperhand in the striking exchanges, while in the fifth round he also was able to get a takedown and secure back control for an extended period to help seal his unanimous decision victory (49-46 x3).
