Beneil Dariush vs. Arman Tsarukyan And Bobby Green vs. Dan Hooker Set For UFC Fight Night 233

Two five-round lightweight fights will front the UFC Fight Night 233 event in Austin, Texas on December 2nd, with Beneil Dariush fighting Arman Tsarukyan in the main event, while Bobby Green takes on Dan Hooker in the co-main event.

For Dariush this will be his first fight back since his eight-fight winning streak was broken by Charles Oliveira via a first round TKO finish back in June.

That had dashed Dariush’s hopes of getting a title shot at 155lbs after having previously beaten the likes of Carlos Diego Ferreira, Tony Ferguson and Mateusz Gamrot, but all hope is not lost as he’s still sitting at No.4 in the lightweight rankings heading into his next fight.

He’ll be facing the No.8 ranked Tsarukyan, who has compiled seven wins in his last eight Octagon outings. His only loss during that period was against Mateusz Gamrot on the scorecards, but he quickly got back to winning ways after that with back-to-back victories over Damir Ismagulov and Joaquim Silva in the past 12 months.

As for the co-main event, Bobby Green earned a 33 second KO victory over Grant Dawson just a few weeks ago, marking his second win in a row after also submitting Tony Ferguson back in July.

With his other fight this year against Jared Gordon ending in a no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads that leaves Green at No.12 in the division.

Now he’ll lock horns with the 9th ranked Hooker, who is coming on off two wins in a row, having TKO’d Claudio Puelles and then eeked out a split-decision victory over Jalin Turner.

Dariush vs. Tsarukyan and Green vs. Hooker top the bill on a UFC Fight Night 233 card that has a very solid main card that’ll also include Sean Brady vs. Kelvin Gastelum, Miesha Tate vs. Julia Avila and Rob Font vs. Deiveson Figueiredo.
