Bobby Green vs. Jim Miller Booked For UFC 276

A clash of lightweight veterans between Bobby Green and Jim Miller has been booked for UFC 276 on July 2nd during International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

The 35-year-old Green fought twice in the space of just two weeks back in February, starting with a unanimous decision victory over Nasrat Haqparast in Houston.

That was Green’s second win in a row, having also TKO’d Al Iaquinta a few months earlier.

Green didn’t have much time to savour his run of form however as he then agreed to take a short notice main event match-up against one of the division’s most in-form stars, Islam Makhachev.

The fight didn’t go Green’s way though, suffering a TKO loss in the first round, but just a few months later he’s ready to get back into the Octagon again.

Now he will attempt to fight Miller for a third time, after their previous two bookings in 2014 and 2021 fell through due to Green suffering from an injury and a bad weight cut respectively.

Miller heads into the fight off of two stoppage wins in a row, having KO’d Erick Gonzalez in October of last year followed by a TKO finish of Nikolas Motta in February.

Green vs. Miller joins a star-studded UFC 276 event that will be headlined by middleweight champion Israel Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier, while a featherweight trilogy fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway takes the co-main event spot, and not forgetting the likes of Sean Strickland vs. Alex Pereira, Robbie Lawler vs. Bryan Barberena and Sean O’Malley vs Pedro Munhoz.
