Cain Velasquez: Car Chase Video And New Details Emerge After Attempted Murder Charge

New details and video footage have emerged following former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez’s arrest for attempted murder earlier this week.

Velasquez is now reported to have been involved in an 11-mile car chase and fired multiple bullets from his S.U.V. at a pick-up truck containing 43-year-old Harry Goularte, who is alleged to have molested a close underage relative of the ex-UFC star at a child day-care facility.

Velasquez had followed Goularte and in his parents before ramming them at an intersection and fired several shots with a .40 caliber pistol, which missed Goularte, but one did hit his 63-year-old stepfather, who is believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A brief mobile phone video has also emerged that appears to show a 10-second clip of the chase, with Velasquez’s vehicle bearing down on the pick-up truck, which already had dents and bullet-holes in it.

Velasquez has since been arrested and faces multiple charges, including attempted murder; shooting at an occupied motor vehicle or aircraft; three counts of assault with a firearm; three counts of assault with a deadly weapon; willfully discharging a firearm from a vehicle; and carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony.
