Carlos Condit vs. Court McGee Set For UFC Fight Night 179 On October 3rd

Carlos Condit will again attempt to fight his way out of his current losing streak when he goes up against Court McGee at UFC Fight Night 179 on October 3rd.

One of the leading lights at welterweight for a number of years, ‘The Natural Born Killer’ appeared to be on the verge of retirement in 2018 after a submission defeat against Michael Chiesa marked his fifth loss in a row, with the others having come against other respected 170lb fighters like Robbie Lawler, Damien Maia, Neil Magny and Alex Oliveira.

Almost two years later the now 36-year-old, Condit will return against McGee, who has also been struggling to pick up a win in recent years, having lost four of his last five fights.

Unlike Condit, the 35-year-old McGee hasn’t reached the same heights in his career so far, with the former TUF Season 11 winner having gone 8-8 during his 11-year run in the promotion so far.

Condit vs. McGee joins a UFC Fight Night 179 card that is expected to be headlined by a women’s bantamweight fight between Holly Holm and Irene Aldana, while Charles Oliveira vs. Beneil Dariush and Germaine de Randamie vs. Julianna Pena are also reportedly headed to the same fight card.
