Chuck Liddell Intervenes To Calm Rising Tensions At Protest In Huntington Beach

‘The Iceman’ Chuck Liddell has been caught on camera doing his best to cool rising tempers at a George Floyd protest in Huntington Beach, California.

The legendary UFC hall-of-famer is seen talking to angry and frustrated people in an attempt to de-escalate the tensions and encourage a peaceful protest, while at one point he keeps an agitated youth at bay until others restrain him.

“It’s just terrible,” Liddell told ABC7 News soon afterwards. “Violence begets violence. Violence doesn’t help anybody.

“We all know what happened was wrong. Everyone I know thinks it was wrong. It’s hard to watch. But this does not help. Destroying cities, destroying people, hurting people does not do any good for anybody.

“Protest all you want, but just do it peacefully.”
