Claudio Gadelha Vs Nina Ansaroff Confirmed For UFC 231

A strawweight fight between Claudio Gadelha and Nina Ansaroff has been announced for UFC 231 in Toronto, Canada on December 8th.

Former title contender Gadelha is coming off a split decision win over ex-champion Carla Esparza at UFC 225 back in June.

That got the 29-year-old back to winning ways after suffering a loss to Jessica Andrade prior to that, marking her only defeat in her past four fights, having previously secured victories over Cortney Casey and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Now the No.3 ranked contender at 115lbs will go up against the No.11 ranked Ansaroff, who is the partner of current bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.

Ansaroff is currently on a three-fight unbeaten stretch in the division, having submitted Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger and then followed that up with decision victories over Angela Hill and Randa Markos with in the past year.

Gadelha Vs Ansaroff joins a UFC 231 card that is expected to feature a featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and Brian Ortega, but is yet to have a fight confirmed officially as the main event.
