Claudio Puelles Submits Clay Guida With 1st Round Kneebar

Claudio Puelles produced another submission finish tonight with a first round kneebar stoppage of Clay Guida to extend his winning streak in the promotion to five fights.

Round One:

Guida feels out with the jab as he circles Puelles, then lands a couple of low kicks. Head kick attempt from Puelles.

Glancing right hand from Guida and shoots into a takedown attempt, but Puelles looking to counter that with a possible guillotine.

Guida adjusts as does Puelles who has an omaplata and then switches to a possible arm triangle, then armbar. Guida on the move as he tries to escape the hold and does get himself in a better spot for now, but that arm is still in jeopardy.

A few punches from Puelles in the mean-time. Guida scrambles and at first still finds his arm trapped, but then gets free.

However, just moments later Puelles beautifully executes a transition into a kneebar attempt and it forces a swift tapout from Guida. Great submission win for him against the grizzled veteran at 3.01mins of the first round.
