Colby Covington Responds To Ian Garry’s Call-Out

Ian Garry called out Colby Covington after his latest win over Geoff Neal, and now over a month later he’s finally got a response from the former welterweight title contender.

“There’s one guy I want next, and I’ve been saying his name all week… his name is Colby Covington,” the undefeated Garry had said following his UFC 298 win. “That guy is on a three-fight skid against world champions, and I want to retire you from the UFC…Anywhere. Anytime.”

Now Covington has replied, but of course it was never going to be as straight-forward as just a yes or no answer.

“We’re out here sailing on seven figures and salty nerd tears,” Covington said from a yacht in his video response. “Usually, when you’re out here, it’s all about fishing and everybody knows when you’re going fishing, it’s important to have the right bait. So let me teach you all a lesson about how you bait someone… Ian Garry, you translucent c***, you wanted my attention, now you got it.

“You had your chance in December to step on the same stage as me and have a microphone and say whatever you want to say to me…But you were scared, scared of what I was going to say to you, and you got the sniffles, and you cried your way out!

“If you were scared of that Ian, if you’re scared of words, what do you think it’s going to be like when you step in the steel cage with Chaos?

“Now you want Donald Trump’s favorite fighter? That’s a big step up in competition junior, you’re biting off more than you can chew.”

Covington went on to say he’d agree to fight Garry, but only on three conditions: that he open up his Instagram comments; that he and his wife beg him to fight, and that his wife appears on a fight prediction video for his betting sponsor.
