Conor McGregor And Donald Cerrone On Friendly Terms Ahead Of January Fight

Conor McGregor is well known for getting under the skin on his opponents with his pre-fight trash talk, but while it’s still early days, so far that’s not been the case with his next opponent Donald ‘The Cowboy’ Cerrone.

Yesterday, Cerrone posted a message to his fans on Instagram outlining some of the remarkable records that he holds from his long run in the UFC so far.

“Let this Soak in!” Cerrone wrote. “This will be my 51st MMA fight and I plan to add new numbers to all these list come January 18.

“I hold the all-time UFC record for wins with 23. I hold the all-time UFC record for finishes with 16.

“I hold the all-time UFC record for post-fight bonus awards with 18. I hold the all-time UFC record in knockdowns with 20.

“I hold the all-time UFC record with seven knockouts via kicks.”

That’s a CV that no one can fail to be impressed by, and indeed even McGregor made sure not to steal Cerrone’s thunder as he sent him his best wishes.

“Good man Donald, enjoy the Christmas dinner. Happy holidays to you and the family, from the McGregor’s here in Ireland,” McGregor responded. “See you in 20/20 with bullseye vision.”
