Conor McGregor And Nate Diaz Trade Barbs After Power Slap Challenge

Nate Diaz may be infamous for his ‘Stockton Slap’, but his old rival Conor McGregor has still called for a duel between the two in Dana White’s new ‘Power Slap Championship’ promotion.

“This power slap championships is growing on me,” McGregor declared on Twitter. “Who doesn’t like watching good quality clatters hahaha.

“Is it a flip of a coin who gets to go first? How long do they have to recover before they get to throw their counter? Or is it over if they’re ko’d? Fascinating. I’m attending one of these 100%.

“Is this Dana’s ? Wtf is this madness Dana hahaha. I’m in.”

McGregor then went on to challenge Diaz, who he’s had two fights with in the Octagon over the years, going 1-1.

“Me Vs Vs Nate on it for the title hahahaha maybe that’s a title you’d have a better chance of coming close to winning Nate you little slapper hahahaha,” McGregor stated.

“I already beat you at that game too,” Diaz replied alongside a video of him slapping McGregor during their previous fight.

“Got you back with concussions. Real smacks,” McGregor retaliated.

“If submissions weren’t allowed I knocked you out way faster than Floyd did,” Diaz declared. “But it was Real So I choked you better and faster than kabob did.”

Diaz left the UFC to become a free agent earlier this year, but has left the door open to return to the promotion at a later stage. For now though it appeared he’s been eyeing a potential money-spinning boxing match with Jake Paul, though so far a deal hasn’t been struck.
