Conor McGregor Shares Fight Pass Leak Suggesting December Fight With Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor has shared a leak from the UFC’s Fight Pass subscription service that appeared to suggest that his fight with Michael Chandler will take place at UFC 296 on December 16th in las Vegas.

Eagle-eyed Fight Pass fans had first spotted the fight on the service on Sunday, prompting McGregor to share a screenshot of it without any further comment.

The Fight Pass page has since been removed however and the UFC have made no official announcement regarding the fight.

Recently McGregor had vented his frustration that he was being “kept from my livelihood,” due to USADA’s drug-testing rule requiring him to re-enroll in their program and undergo six months of testing before being allowed to compete, leading him to suggest that it would now be 2024 before he’d be able to fight again.

However, in a subsequent update last Tuesday he’d stated that, “December is back on the table.”

At the present time no fights have been officially announced for the UFC 296 event, which will serve as the promotion’s final pay-per-view of the year.

However, newly crowned bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley has revealed he spoke to McGregor via text after beating Aljamain Sterling and suggested he could serve as the co-main event for McGregor at UFC 296, to which ‘The Notorious’ responded, “Shot caller!”, while after his win on Saturday night, Giga chikadze said he wanted to fight Yair Rodriguez at the end-of-year show.
