Conor McGregor Taunts Dustin Poirier While He’s In Hospital With Staph Infection

Dustin Poirier is currently in hospital trying to fight off a bad staph infection, but that hasn’t stopped his old rival Conor McGregor from taunting him.

“Going on day 2 in the hospital. Sh*ts getting serious,” Poirier had wrote on Twitter yesterday.

ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto then filled in the blanks as to what was going on with ‘The Diamond’.

“[He] told me it’s Staph (infection), but he’s not responding to antibiotics over the last 24 hours,” Okamoto wrote. “Undergoing further blood work now, hopefully get some answers today.”

Conor McGregor reacted to the update by making fun of his rival.

“Poirier has gonnorhea spread it around ahahhaahahah he’s a goner 😂😂,” McGregor wrote.

McGregor is still smarting over the fact that he broke his leg in trilogy fight with Poirier last year, and while up to this point ‘The Diamond’ had appeared to not be interested in a fourth fight between them, his response suggested that it might be a possibility after all.

You ready to get slapped around again?” Poirier replied to McGregor.

“Ye I’m in Amsterdam jacked like Van Damme,” McGregor responded, before going on to refer back to their previous encounter.

“You weren’t just hurt pal. You were scared hurt don’t forget it. I’m coming back to put you in a box. Full of it. I’m sending you off this earth. Permanent. Stay waiting for the road house as well pal you and the missus will love it.”

For now it’s all just talk though and so Poirier will be focused on recovering from his staph infection, and though a photo he posted today of his foot didn’t look good, he did tell a fan that he’s hoping to get out of hospital tomorrow.
