Conor McGregor’s Trash-Talk With Tony Ferguson Turns Ugly

Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson have been talking trash on social media and it didn’t take long for it to turn ugly.

It all began when people began reacting with surprise to a new photo of McGregor looking bigger than usual.

“This man is never fighting professionally mixed martial arts,” one fan on Twitter named PrinceLaney wrote during a fan Q&A. “Look at how big he’s gotten. Boxing?? May be down the line. But he’s not getting a cage that big. Absolutely not.”

That resulted in a response from McGregor, who said, “All I read was “look how big he has gotten. My man! These clowns are fucked when I get back.”

McGregor also stated that he’d bulked up his upper-body in the gym while waiting for his broken leg to heal.

“There are pros and cons to everything,” McGregor acknowledged.

“I could not move the last three months, so I brought heavy weights to me, and moved them. Repetitively. Play with the cards you are dealt. My power is up 50%.”

It’s an interesting development given that McGregor was already a heavy-hitter, while his cardio was something that was already a potential cause for concern and may now be even more so given his recent mass gain.

Meanwhile, Tony Ferguson waded into the debate to suggest that McGregor was on performance-enhancing drugs.

“Taking Growth Hormone Will Do That To Someone’s Build,” Ferguson wrote. “You’re Mentally Weak & Your Leg Is Compromised. Your Fragile, Frail & Breakable. That GH Gon’ Make U Break Kid. Keep Pumpin’ Ya Chest Ya Cheat. Not The 1st Time God Punished You. You Like Picking On People And DJ’s? WTF Pussy.”

With the gloves now off, McGregor fired back in a deeply personal manner as he referenced Ferguson’s previous mental health issues.

“Omg, god bless you kid,” McGregor responded. “Mental basket sad case. I am going to share your scared wife’s video that was sent to us of you screaming crying as you smash your house up. What a sad bastard u are. No brains. Empty head. Losing streak. No management. Wife sending us videos in fear.”

McGregor has since deleted that response, but then replied again, vowing to kill his rival in the Octagon.

“Me and you are fighting one day mate and I gonna end your life in there full of it,” McGregor wrote. “Sauce. Money. Power. I already won all the belts and the money in this game I just wanna kill one of yous rats in there now it’s the only thing left for me to do. And Watch me do it. Only on PPV.”

McGregor also took a further swipe at Ferguson by mocking his business dealings behind-the-scenes.

“Tony was douped into signing with another agency on the premise he would receive a pro Baseball contract hahahaha a pro fucking baseball contract 😂😂 now he’s in legal turmoil with this crowd ahahahah no shit Jose canseco what did you fucking think would happen 😂 empty head.”

While McGregor vs. Ferguson is certainly a fight that could take place at some stage, McGregor does still have to return to full fitness after his broken leg first, and in the mean time Nate Diaz has suggested that he’d be interested in going up against Ferguson next.
