Dana White Believes Tyron Woodley And Donald Cerrone Should Retire

After watching their losses at UFC Fight Night 178 on Saturday night, Dana White has stated his belief that two veteran stars Tyron Woodley and Donald Cerrone should seriously consider hanging up their gloves.

After the 39-year-old Woodley suffered his third underwhelming loss in a row in the main event against Colby Covington, White felt he’d seen enough to suggest that the former champion should call time on his career.

“I think he should start thinking about hanging it up,” White told reporters at the post-fight presser. “He’s had a great career. He’s made his money.

“… We all get old, man. This happens to the best of us. Woodley’s had a good career. He’s been a champion. He’s been around awhile. He had a good run in Strikeforce, too.”

Meanwhile, White also somewhat reluctantly hinted that he might be looking to usher the 37-year-old Cerrone towards retirement too after ‘Cowboy’ suffered he emerged with a majority draw against Niko Price in which his opponent had a point deducted for repeated unintentional eye pokes.

“I know this is going to f*cking crush him and break his heart, but it’s time to have a conversation with him,” White said

“I’ve got to have this conversation and see what he says,” White continued. “I know what he’s going to say – I don’t want to stop. But we’ve got to have the conversation.”
