In a new impromptu media scrum with the MMA media, Dana White discussed the current state of the negotiations process for the boxing mega-fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
White said he won’t start speaking to Mayweather’s team until next week, and that, “When you get in and you start negotiating, and you start hearing the things that are on their side, you’ll know real quick whether we can get a deal done.”
The UFC President also claimed that McGregor is now a bigger name than Manny Pacquiao was when he fought Mayweather.
He also went on to note that everywhere he goes now, all anyone wants to talk about is McGregor Vs Mayweather.
“You can say it’s not a fight or whatever, but it’s all anybody wants to talk about,” White said. “Everywhere I go, everything I do, that’s all they want to talk about. … People can say it’s ridiculous, it’s not a fight, it should never happen, it’s lopsided, it will be this and that. It is all anybody ever wants to talk about.”
