Dana White Says Mayweather Vs Khabib Only Happens If It’s ‘A Real Fight’ In The UFC

Dana White has put his cards on the table regarding a fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather, stating that the only way it happens if it’s in the Octagon.

“Listen, if Mayweather wants to fight, come fight. You fight in the UFC,” White told TMZ. “We’re not boxing again. We did that once. That’s over. You want to fight? Come fight. A real fight.”

The chances of that happening are existant non existant, with a match-up against Nurmagomedov in the UFC being even worse for the boxing legend than if he were to fight McGregor.

So who should Nurmagomedov fight next? White has a clear opnion on the matter.

“I mean, Tony Ferguson is the right fight. Tony Ferguson didn’t lose the (interim) belt in a fight, so that’s the right fight. … It’s the fight to make. We’ll see how this whole thing plays out. It’s obviously going to depend on the suspension and what happens.”

Meanwhile, White also confirmed that while he’s not interested in Khabib fighting Mayweather in the squared circle, Zuffa is still planning to get into the boxing business.

“We’re getting into boxing 100 percent, for sure. I’m not diving in head first. I’m dipping my toe in.”
