Dana White Says UFC Has Smoothed Things Over With Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently threatened to leave the UFC if his teammates were released from the promotion, but in a new interview Dana White claims that relations are now better between the two parties.

“We’re good,” White told TMZ. “We’re good with Khabib. You guys are still posting that sh-t, that was a week ago. A week ago. A lot happens in a week in this business.”

“We’re good. We worked it out. We’re gonna get everything worked out. Obviously, he was a little upset, he was a little fired up. We’ll get it all worked out.”

“Guys get very emotional, man,” he continued. “That was a very emotional fight for him, obviously. And at the end of the day, Khabib’s a great guy. We’ve always had a great relationship with him.”

White’s claims come a day after Nurmagomedov’s own Uncle suggested that the champion wasn’t interested in a rematch with Conor McGregor, but did have a desire to fight Tony Ferguson next.

However, it was also suggested that Nurmagomedov may be looking to retire after that fight, which if true would put paid to any hopes McGregor or the UFC had for a money-spinning rematch between the two at some stage in the future.
