Dana White’s Contender Series Season 7 Episode 3 Results

Three more fighters earned a UFC contract in the latest episode of Dana White’s Contender Series last night and you can see all the results below.

Main event winner Zach Reese wasted no time securing his place on the UFC roster after he countered Eli Aronov’s early takedown with an armbar submission finish just 74 seconds into their fight.

There was intense action in the co-main event, with Oban Elliott winning the first round against Kaik Brito, but then finding himself on the verge of being finished in the second as Brito caught him in a standing guillotine, beat him up with heavy punches and was on the verge of an armbar stoppage at the end of the round. Somehow the exhausted Elliott managed to rally in the final five minutes though, getting on top and landing big ground-and-pound, which ultimately led him to a majority decision win (29-28 x2, 28-28) and a UFC contract.

The only winner not to earn a spot on the roster so far this season was Josefine Knuttson, who actually was a convincing winner against Isis Verbeek on the scorecards, but her failure to really push for a finish counted against her according to Dana White.

Luis Pajuelo had no such issues though as he TKO’d Robbie Ring in the opening round after getting on top and landing a knee to the body and punches behind it.
