UFC welterweight star Darren Till has landed himself in hot water in Tenerefe after allegations of loutish behavior while on holiday in the popular tourist destination.
Till and several other friends allegedly broke furniture and emptied fire extinguishers at the lodgings they were in, which led to them being ejected from the premises.
The group then went to another hotel, but were refused entry, at which point they flagged down a taxi driver in a Volkswagon Caddy.
However, while the driver was loading their luggage into the vehicle, Till and one other individual got in and drove it away, heading to another area nearby, where they were then caught by police and arrested.
Till’s latest troubles come at a time when his form has hit a downward slump, losing back-to-back fights against Tyron Woodley and Jorge Masvidal – the first two losses of his career.
Just a few weeks ago Till vowed to turn things around, while suggesting that he hadn’t been as dedicated as he should have been.
“Few things need refocusing now, feel like I lost myself the past year and haven’t been fully focused to my craft!” the 26-year-old wrote after returning from a skiing holiday in Canada.
However, the fact that he’s been arrested while on yet another holiday suggests that he still has some unresolved issues that have to be addressed before he can fully realise his potential as a fighter.
