Eryk Anders Blames Exhaustion For Defeat At UFC Fight Night 137

Eryk Anders suffered a tough loss to Thiago Santos at UFC Fight Night 137 this past weekend after being subjected to a third round beatdown that left him unable to make his way back to his corner inbetween rounds, collapsing to the mat several times, leading to the fight being waved off.

Anders, who had taken the fight on just six days notice, has now spoken out about the first TKO loss of his his 11-2 career, and it seems he’s kept his sense of humor despite the disappointment.

“Not gonna lie, I haven’t been that tired since my wedding night,” Anders quipped on social media.

“Regardless of the outcome I had a lot of fun last night. I rolled the dice, came up short, and literally left everything in the cage. I can live with that. No moral victories, just on the next. Thank you everyone who watched and gave support.”

The 31-year-old was transported to hospital after the fight, where he emerged with a clean bill of health, with doctor’s putting his inability to continue the fight down to exhaustion.

Despite the loss, Anders has hinted that he intends to return to the Octagon before the end of the year.

“Shhhhhiiiiiiiddddd it be like that sometimes ‍♂️.. see you pussies in december. To vivo.”
