Eryk Anders vs. Krzystof Jotko Set For UFC Fight Night 172

A middleweight fight between Eryk Anders and Kryzstof Jotko has been announced for UFC Fight Night 172 in Portland, Oregon on April 11th.

Anders is currently on a two-fight winning streak that began with a knockout victory over Vinicius Moreira at light-heavyweight, before dropping back down to middleweight for his most recent bout with Gerald Meerschart, which he’d win by split decision.

Those wins have given Anders some stability after having suffered through a three-fight losing streak against Thiago Santos, Elias Theodorou and Khalil Rountree Jr prior to that.

Jotko’s situation is basically a mirror image of Anders as he has exactly the same win and loss record over the past five fights.

In his case, a trio of losses to Dave Branch, Uriah Hall and Brad Tavares (the last two both being by TKO) had put him in a bad spot.

However, in 2019 he then went on to defeat Alen Amedovski by uanimous decision and then got past Marc-Andre Barriault by split decision.

Anders vs. Jotko square off on a UFC Fight night 172 card that’s set to be headlined by heavyweight action as Alistair Overeem takes on the Walt Harris, while ‘The Karate Hottie’ Michelle Waterson will go up against Carla Esparza.
