Floyd Mayweather Confirms He Does Want To Fight Khabib Nurmagomedov

Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov recently called out boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr, and it seems that ‘Money’ has no qualms about fighting the undefeated MMA star.

“Oh, we’re fighting,” the 50-0 Mayweather told TMZ Sports. “I’m my own boss. I can’t say what’s going on on Khabib’s end, but on my end, we can make it happen.

“… When I face Khabib, I’m getting a nine-figure payday. It’s more than the McGregor fight – probably $100 million more, guaranteed. It could be somewhere between $110 (million) and $200 million (more) guaranteed.”

Mayweather also brushed aside Nurmagomedov’s desire to fight outside of Las Vegas after his recent troubles there following his post-fight brawl at UFC 229, indicating that he still sees it as the only place to hold such a big event.

Meanwhile, during his call-out, Nurmagomedov had boasted that he’d knocked down McGregor easily, while Mayweather failed to do so, but it seems the undefeated pugilist, who made it clear he is very much the ‘A-Side’ if the match-up does takes place, is eager to bring ‘The Eagle’ into the boxing ring and show him what he can really do.

“He called me out, so he’s got to come to my world. I saw on an interview he said when he hit Conor McGregor, he knocked Conor McGregor down (and) I didn’t knock Conor McGregor down.

“Khabib, you got my leftovers. … Come into my world. Let’s make it happen.”
