Former UFC Fighter Erick Silva Signs For Bellator In New Multi-Fight Deal

Former UFC fighter Erick Silva has signed a new multi-fight deal with the Bellator promotion this week.

Silva was known as an exciting, offensive fighter during his time in the UFC, but his relentless pursuit of a finish often caught him out in the Octagon, leading to a mixed record of wins and losses than eventually led to his release last year after losing four of his previous five bouts against the likes of Neil Magny, Nordine Taleb, Yancy Medeiros and Jordan Mein.

After that Silva moved on to the LFA promotion, where he returned to winning ways with a first round submission victory over Nick Barnes in July.

Now Bellator have decided to sign up the 34-year-old Silva to a long-term deal, although at stage there’s no date or opponent set or his first fight in the promotion.

However, the Brazilian is expected to make his debut before the end of the year, where he’ll look to improve on his overall 20-9 (+1nc) career record.
