Giga Chikadze vs. Sodiq Yusuff Set For UFC Fight Night 210

A featherweight fight between Giga Chikadze and Sodiq Yusuff has been announced for UFC Fight Night 210 on September 17th at a destination still to be confirmed.

For Chikadze the fight will come at a time when he’s coming off the first loss of his UFC run, suffering a unanimous decision defeat against Calvin Kattar back in January.

That loss brought an end to a seven-fight unbeaten stretch since joining the UFC in 2019, during which the former kickboxer had initially started off with decision wins over the likes of Brandon Davis and Omar Morales, before turning up the heat with TKO finishes against the likes of Cub Swanson and Edson Barboza.

That now leaves Chikadze at No.8 in the 145lb rankings, four places above the No.12 ranked Yusuff, who is coming off a decision win against Alex Caceres back in March.

Before that, Yusuff had suffered his own first defeat in the UFC against Arnold Allen, having won four in a row prior to that.

Chikadze vs. Yusuff joins a UFC Fight Night 210 card that’s expected to be headlined by bantamweight action as Cory Sandhagen takes on Song Yadong, while other fights currently booked for the event include Gregory Rodrigues vs. Chidi Njokuani and Andre Fili vs. Lando Vannata.
