Veteran fighter Glover Teixiera will get back into the Octagon againts Nikita Krylov at UFC Fight Night 158 in Vancouver, Canada on September 14th.
The 39-year-old Teixeira is currently riding a two-fight winning streak this year, having submitted Karl Roberson with a first round arm-triangle choke in January and then following that up with a second round rear-naked choke against Ion Cutelaba in April.
That’s a nice reversal in fortunes for the Brazilian as prior to that he had lost three of his past five bouts.
In Krylov he’ll be facing a Russian fighter who returned to the promotion in late 2018 after a two-year run in the Fight Nights Global promotion, only to then be submitted by Jan Blachowicz.
However, the 27-year-old has rebounded strongly with a rear-naked choke win over Ovince Saint-Preux in April and will now look to improve upon his overall 7-4 UFC record.
Teixiera Vs Blachowicz joins a UFC Fight Night 158 card that doesn’t yet have a main event, but is starting to fill up quickly, with other recent additions including Todd Duffee vs. Jeff Hughes, Marcin Tybura vs. Augusto Sakai, Antonio Carlos Jr. vs. Uriah Hall and David Branch vs. Andrew Sanchez, with more match-ups sure to follow in the near future.
