GSP Wants To Fight Conor McGregor Claims Freddie Roach

GSP’s boxing coach and friend Freddie Roach has claimed that the Canadian’s future plans include having his final fight be against fellow UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

“With the last fight, we’re hoping [for it] to be [Conor] McGregor,” Roach claimed in an interview with Fight Hub TV.

“Who wouldn’t want that fight? I mean, it’s a big fight,” Roach continued. “We’d have to maybe cut weight, meet in the middle somewhere, but there’s long negotiations [that could] still happen, of course. But, who wouldn’t want that fight?”

First things first though, St-Pierre will attempt to defeat Michael Bisping to become the UFC’s middleweight champion, and according to Roach it was actually Dana White who originally suggested the fight.

“That was the fight that was offered to us, through Dana (White),” Roach said. “[He asked us] ‘do you want him?’ And we all thought about it, and we all said yes.”

A date and venue for Bisping Vs GSP has still to be confirmed and appears to be the subject of much debate at the moment, with St-Pierre indicating that he’s aiming for September or October, while Bisping has demanded that he either take the fight in the summer or he’ll fight Yoel Romero instead.
