The in-form Jack Della Maddalena’s next fight will be against Sean Brady at UFC 290 on July 8th in Las Vegas during International Fight Week.
The 26-year-old Maddalena has got his UFC run off to a dream start so far with four wins in a row, all of which have comes via strikes in the opening round.
Maddalena’s boxing in particular has impressed during a trio of TKO victories against Pete Rodriguez, Ramazan Emeev and Danny Roberts, while he showed there’s more to his game with a submission finish of Randy Brown last time out to take the No.13 spot on the welterweight rankings.
Now he’ll be going up against Sean Brady, who knows a thing or two himself about getting off to a good start in the promotion as he won his first five fights in a row against notables like Michael Chiesa, Jake Matthews and Court McGee, taking his career record to a perfect 15-0 in the process.
However, the 30-year-old came unstuck last time out when he lost to Belal Muhammad, who TKO’d him in the second round, leaving him ranked No.9 heading into this fight.
Maddalena vs. Brady joins a UFC 290 card that currently features two title fights, with featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski fighting interim titleholder Yair Rodriguez and flyweight kingpin Brandon Moreno facing Alexandre Pantoja, while Robert Whittaker vs. Dricus du Plessis was also recently added to the line-up.
