Jack Hermansson Steps In To Fight Ronaldo Jacare Souza At UFC On ESPN 3

Jack Hermansson has stepped in to replace the injured Yoel Romero against Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza in the main event of UFC On ESPN 3 on April 28th in Florida.

Hermansson is coming off a big win over David Branch just over a week ago, submitting him with a guillotine choke in just 49 seconds at UFC On ESPN 2.

That was the Swedish fighter’s third win in a row at middleweight, having also TKO’d Thales Leites and submitted Gerald Meerschaert beforehand, taking his overall UFC record to 6-2 and helped him make a new entry at No.10 in the middleweight rankings.

Meanwhile, ‘Jacare’ is the No.3 ranked contender at 185lbs and is coming of a big knockout victory against former champion Chris Weidman back in November of last year.

That’s continued a pattern of wins and losses for the Brazilian star, as he’s alternated between wins against the likes of Tim Boetsch and Derek Brunson while suffering defeats against Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum.

Souza Vs Hermansson will top the bill on a UFC On ESPN 3 card that will also feature the likes of Andrei Arlovski Vs Augusto Sakai, Glover Teixeira Vs Ion Cutelaba, Alex Oliveira Vs Mike Perry and Greg Hardy Vs Dmitrii Smoliakov.
