After calling out Conor McGregor, YouTuber Jake Paul has now targeted the Irish superstar’s BJJ coach, Bellator fighter Dillon Danis.
Danis was being interviewed on the street for Brendan Schaub’s ‘Food Truck Diaries’ show when Paul showed off with his entourage in a pick-up truck and began throwing water balloons and toilet rolls at the fighter.
However, the prank didn’t entirely go according to plan as Danis proceeded to head straight for the truck to confront his attackers, at which point Paul hurriedly told his driver to “dip, dip, dip” and they sped off down the street.
Apparently Paul failed to realize the irony of him calling the fighter a “pussy” and yelling, “you’re a bitch”, while fleeing the scene to avoid actually having to deal with him face-to-face.
Danis is currently just 2-0 in his MMA career, but is a highly decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who has won multiple major tournaments over the years, which helped pave the way for him to train McGregor on the mat.
Danis previously gained notoriety as being the person who Khabib Nurmagomedov had targeted when he jumped out of the Octagon following his win over McGregor in 2018, with the lightweight champion later claiming that the Bellator fighter had insulted him.
For the record, Bellator boss Scott Coker recently stated that a fight between Danis and Paul could happen, but his suggestion is that they not only compete in the boxing ring, but also in MMA too.
