A middleweight fight between Jared Cannonier and Roman Dolidze will go down at UFC Fight night 233 on December 2nd.
The 39-year-old Cannonier has fought his way to back-to-back wins in the division since losing out to Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision in their title clash back in July of last year.
That started with a split decision win over the man who has since been crowned champion of the division, Sean Strickland, and followed that up with a unanimous decision win over Marvin Vettori back in June.
That leaves Cannonier ranked No.4 in the division, while holding an overall UFC record of 10-6.
Now he’ll be taking on the No.7 ranked Dolidze, who is coming off a decision loss to Marvin Vettori back in March. That loss broke a four-fight winning streak that had seen the 35-year-old beat the likes of Jack Hermansson, Phil Hawes and Kyle Daukaus, with all three of those victories coming with ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses attached to them.
Cannonier vs. Dolidze joins a UFC Fight Night 233 that’s quickly gaining strength-in-depth as it also includes the likes of Sean Brady vs. Kelvin Gastelum, Dieveson Figueireo vs. Rob Font, Miesha Tate vs. Julia Avila and Khalil Rountree Jr. vs. Azamat Marzakanov.
