Jessica Andrade vs. Marina Rodriguez Added To UFC 300

The UFC has announced another fight for the star-studded UFC 300 event on April 13th in Las Vegas with former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade set to go up against Marina Rodriguez.

For the most part the 32-year-old Andrade suffered a rough 2023 campaign that included suffering three losses in a row between February and August. Along the way she was submitted by Erin Blanchfield, KO’d by Yan Xiaonan and submitted by Tatiana Suarez to mark the worst run of form of her career to date.

However, Andrade did manage to end the year on a better note after securing a 2nd round TKO finish of Mackenzie Dern in November, and so she still holds down the No.4 spot on the 115lb rankings.

Now Andrade will take on the No.6 ranked Rodriguez, who is coming off a TKO victory against Michelle Waterson-Gomez back in September of last year. Before that Rodriguez had uncharacteristically suffered back-to-back losses against Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba.

Andrade vs. Rodriguez is the latest addition to a UFC 300 that still remains without a headliner, but has a stacked line-up, including a ‘BMF’ title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway, women’s strawweight champ Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan, Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan, Jiri Prochazka vs. Aleksander Rakic, Deieveson Figueireo vs. Cody Garbrandt, Kayla Harrison vs. Holly Holm, Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage and Jim Miller vs. Bobby Green.
