Jessica-Rose Clark fights Paige VanZant on Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 124, but maintaining her focus ahead of her biggest ever bout is proving to be challenging given what’s happened in her personal life this week.
On Twitter yesterday, Clark revealed in a series of posts that her house in Las Vegas had been robbed and her cat attacked, resulting in it being put down.
“Someone just broke into my house, stole all my housemates stuff, trashed the whole place, stole clothes and shoes from me. Wtf man,” Clark wrote.
“They also kicked our cat and smashed his rib cage and it has pushed his intestines up into his chest cavity. He has to have surgery and we don’t know what’s going to happen yet.
Clark then posted again later with further details about the incident, including the sad news that her cat hadn’t made it, as well as information about the possible suspects.
“VEGAS. MY HOUSE JUST GOT BROKEN INTO. They kicked our cat and he has to be put down. Tvs, guitars, dvds, POP, video games.
At least 3 people, one small female with her hair in a bun, reddish-blonde and two men. One white sedan and possibly a gray truck with them.”
The 30-year-old Clark is coming off a victory over Bec Rawlings in her MMA debut last November and now moves up to the new flyweight division to take on Paige VanZant, who will also be undertaking her first outing in the 125lb weight class.
