Jim Miller Chokes Clay Guida Unconscious In First Round At UFC On ESPN 5

An action-packed opening minute in the co-main event of UFC On ESPN 5 today saw Jim Miller get rocked but then rebound to stagger Clay Guida and then choke him unconscious.

Round One:

Solid inside leg kick from Miller to start. Outside leg kick for Guida with less on it. Head kick attempt from Miller is blocked, but then Guida lands a big right hook and hurts him.

Miller backs up but then rapidly regains his bearings, lands a hard punch of his own that staggers Guida and then moves in for a guillotine choke and drops back with it.

It’s in very deep and it looks like Guida is out! This would be a huge feather in Miller’s cap if he can submit Guida here, and indeed he has – ‘The Carpenter’ is out cold, Miller gets the submission victory just 58 seconds into the fight!
